We had to cancel with them because when our business grew, they would not up our limits. It was a waste of our time to ever deal with them.

Beware, the company makes its money by charging extremely high fees. In 2 months I paid over $160 for 2 transactions which totaled $1231.
Watch out! They mislead you. My independent sales rep left
In a candid conversation with a phone jockey who was kind enough to express her dissatisfaction with the company I realized I made a mistake and am in the process of trying to cancel. What another nighymare, You will be charged early termination fees…American Greed!
The directors and officers are that one percent destroying America through greed and self interest. They should all be prosecuted and put away.

The WORST company ever, they rip you off, is a total fraud, bad customer service. I would NEVER EVER recommend IPAYMENT if you want to be successful. They make with your money whatever they want, they withhold your money for months just because they want and if you want to reach someone who can give you an answer they’re always on vacation.

If you wanna work with a company you can trust and have peace of mind. You never work with IPAYMENT

    ABSOLUTE CROOKS!
I filled out the online appliacation but NEVER ACTIVATED MY ACCOUNT after reading nothing but bad reviews.
Then, over the course of two months they debited about $300 from my checking account, which has a minimal balance so I encurred overdraft fees on top of what they STOLE.
My bank blocked them but they still took another $350 for a termination fee (their advertisement stated “RISK FREE”, “NO CANCELLATION FEE”.
I am calling the police tomorrow to report this theft & hope everybody they steal from does the same. Not that it will do much good because these corporate slime bags are above the law! These type of crooks just screwed the economy of the entire world and not one of the perpetrators have been prosecuted!
    They lied about rates,
    They lied about service,
    The customer service is nonexistant,
    The cancellation fee is FRAUDULENT!
Stay away from i-Payment and Wells Fargo -They are the worst of the 1%!

Its good that this article is here. I almost signed up with Ipayments while setting up my web account with Ipage. I decided to do a little homework first and I do not feel comfortable giving that outfit access to my bank account. I had started to fill out thier application on line, but cancelled it. Now they keep calling me and asking me to complete the application. Go away Ipayment.

IPAYMENT, Inc is incredibly unethical. We started using them for 1 month, then they held our funds hostage for no legitimate reason. Nearly put business under in a week. They did not care. I would strongly recommend not associating yourself with a careless company like this!
I’ve reported them to the Att General of Oregon, Washington and California.
    BEWARE of them!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!  I cannot stress this enough.  I used them for 4 years and every month I had to go through the statement with a fine tooth comb for erroneous charges.   Then you have to take your time to call the company to have the charges credited.   In the meantime, they have been using your money.   Their fees pop up from nowhere.   Even after cancelling their service 2 months ago, they continue to charge my bank account.  I am in the process of filing a BBB complaint against them.  And I’m not the first.  Check out BBB…they have A LOT of complaints filed against them.  Do your due diligence…check them out.   The have a huge PCI compliance fee that they charge every year and even if they agree to reduce it for you, you have to call them every time.   Warning:  STAY AWAY.  There are much better cc processing companies out there!

I sign up and they charge me $19.95 for statement fee! When I sign up online, I never once saw that. I got a shock when I got the paper contract sent to me and when I got charged $19.95. I swear that I didn’t see that at all. I’m ok with paying application fee, but why a statement fee, when I haven’t even started accepting payment?

Livingstone1, I’m actually more surprised with the application fee than the statement fee. In this day and age the application fee always seems to me to be an opportunity for a merchant processor to try and wring some quick money out of their merchants, an unnecessary item if they do their part to keep the merchant as a customer for a long time with low rates and quality service. The statement fee issue is something we have noticed with merchants that sign up with a processor at the end of months, often while the merchant doesn’t switch over their processing until the beginning of the next month, they are logged in the system of the new processor and once in are charged the statement fee. One of those issues that the sales reps always seem to forget to mention. Not sure if this explains your specific issue, but seems like a likely explanation.
